HyperBuzzin Payments??? NO MORE FOR ME!!!

But was paying $288/month for an '04 TJ Unlimited with only 7k miles at time of purchase in late '07.

greenwitch We put over 30,000 miles a year on our vehicles. Husband drives about 130 miles round trip daily for work. I'm a kept woman (stay at home NON-soccer mum who's kids are grown) - it's a good gig if you can get it. I put as many miles on my JK as he does on his Saturn. Picked up the JK Sept 30 and it now has 10300 miles! Primarily highway, picking boy child up from and delivering to college, various contractual obligations in a 400 miles radius of home and dog shows or dog events. So the miles rack up very quickly. 140K would be a deal breaker for me simply because of the miles I drive. If I drove the 'normal' 12K a year it wouldn't phase me. We are looking at an 06 with 26K but after reading this thread, they may want a bit much for it ($19,000).

Jeepchic70 I got my '05 stock with 32k on it 15 months ago for $16,900 and put a big chunk down. My payments are less than $200 a month.

OregonTJ 2005 TJ, no payments... trade in and paid cash difference.....

Ted_D Yep the interest rates are the killer and the longer you finace it the more it will cost in the end. I purchased mine for 18 months 0% interest

InfernoGirl Yep, a calculator will get you closest to what actual payments will be. If you really just need a ballpark, trying to figure out how much you can afford, then just take the average sale price for what you're looking at + sales tax, and divide it by how many months you'd be paying on it... Your actual payments will be higher due to interest, but you can get a ball park figure. If you know what interest rates are then you can figure that in too. My Credit Union has a payment calculator and interest rate chart on their website. Yours might too...

Bruck Use the auto payment calculator like the one on KBB.com. That is the only way you will be able to get a reliable answer to your question.

s3nt3nc3d It's really going to vary based on total price, down payment, trade-in, interest rate, loan amount, and loan length...

I'm paying $210.48/mo on a 60 month loan...can't remember total loan amount but I had around $4,000 down and I think it's at around 9% interest. That's for my 2002.

I picked up my stock 05' about 5 months ago with about 38k that was garage kept at a local mom and pop dealer for about $15,000. With no money down or trade it runs me about $290 a month. Hope it helps.
