|falatude||Definitely a bad connection somewhere. I have seen the factory crimp-on terminals go bad once you start messing with them. Check the connections at your battery first, then go to the connections at your starter. Make sure the wires are still firmly connected/crimped at the starter. Especially the red #10awg wire at the starter.|

that to... usually a bad starter will dim your lights, not kill all of the power. Thats a bad connection somewhere. If your terminals are good, check the other end.
I totally forgot until now! Check this,
I went deep into a hole with my left front and the whole jeep slammed pretty hard. I had the exact problem you do, I knew my cables where clean and tight and the battery was good but "snap" I would loose everything when hitting the key to start. I followed back the + wire from the battery and was able to easily move the bottom connection side to side on the bolt. I tightened up that nut and it was like a whole new starting system!

|sevenservices||yup, classic symptom of loose/dirty battery terminal connections. Probably was the start of your issues. They need to be cleaned with baking soda and water at least every six months. as well they should be pulled off, sanded or wire brushed to ruff up the lead and put back on once per year. Nice and tight as well...|

Starter help please.
Jeep wouldn't start this morning so I had the starter tested and the auto parts place said it was bad. Bought a new one had them test it and it worked. I was installing it with the battery connected and I got a few sparks. I disconnected the battery and kept on going. I turn the key on and nothing happens, no lights nothing. I try again and the lights come on push the clutch try to crank it the I hear clicking and then no more lights. What did I mess up. I have a new starter solenoid on it's way but idk if that's the problem. Thanks in advance.
