Looked at the original PCV valve, no bottom at all (as in someone actually removed it completely) - wow.... Put a new one on and will post the results after a couple of days.
Thank you, 90YJinPC, for the pointer!

|90YJinPC||had the same problem on my '90 with 258. the pcv hose from pcv valve to carb has two restrictor orifices inline. mine became clogged and the crank case was not able to vent. this pushed oil into my air filter. clean or replace line and you should be good to go.|

Oil pressure from back opening of valve cover on 258
I have a question and hope someone here has some ideas or answers on my issues (Jeep issues that is)
I have a 90 with a 258 and the back hole on the valve cover is putting oil into the air cleaner. The valve cover is an aftermarket one that came with the Jeep so not sure if there is a block off plate under the hole or not. I will be taking a look later.
Anyway, lets say there isn't a block off plate like the factory valve cover has, should oil be making it to the air cleaner then? Would going back to a stock valve cover reduce / eliminate the oil getting into the air cleaner?
The cover I have is a Omix-Ada cover with their logo in the middle, not one with a Jeep or 258 logo.
Any help appreciated!
