Yea we can do that and actually I'm meeting another Jeep this Saturday morning and we are riding through 7 Creeks outside of Christiansburg and then heading down through McCoy into Giles County then up to Mtn Lake and then to New Castle and do Broad Run.

I made the map for our trip. please review and let me know your thoughts, its the shortest distance between 5 points, so to speak. POINT B is the start of the coal rd bald mountain trial, POINT C being the end. POINT D is the beginning of the road that leads to shoe creek. if you follow the map while zoomed in close, you'll see an outhouse and parking area in gravel, about half way between POINT D AND POINT E. that is where the trail really begins so to speak.

POINT E is the end of shoe creek and the map takes us back to wards RD in lynchburg.

stevenjill i as well would not recommend a stock anything go across Potts. and i had to wonder if that Chevy Tracker is still up there!! that was CRAZY!!!!
04-27-2014 12:06 PM
bajonesy77 Not sure they made it out but in the middle of potts yesterday we passed a stock looking 4 door Chevy tracker! Steve saw it too so no im not crazy. The stacks section is the easiest it has ever been so the only really rough spot is at the bypass at the ledge aka rocker knocker. Please dont think you can take a stock anything thru and not suffer some type of damage, I dont recommended it but yes apparently some do it but with no regard for the condition of their vehicle or the safety of those with them!

That would actually be considering a worth while trail ride not really. We have Potts an then shoe creek is around 2 hours away but is stocked friendly an an awesome trail

That's about what I was thinking. What kind of skids would you recommend? And what brands? And for a winch I need a new a new bumper first. I want to put a winch on a bumper with a hitch receiver. I don't live in the best neighborhood so I'd like to easily remove it.

From what I understand at the very least 3 inch lift and 33s. But I did hear of someone with a jk rubicon went through stock. But they had plenty of trouble

04-23-2014 07:44 AM
stevenjill that's what i figgired!! saturday might work!!
04-22-2014 08:53 PM
bajonesy77 Southwest Virginia 4 wheelers did the work. Gotta keep the main trail passable so they can close off the illegal trail that goes around the stacks, that illegal trail has been getting used heavily by the looks of it. I have never had a problem at the stacks it all about knowing the right line. May go up potts Saturday after I get off at 2pm, my plans keep changing! Haha
04-22-2014 05:54 PM
stevenjill hey jonsey!! who filled in the whole!! that looks almost to easy!!

southernboy9404 Anyone interested in a complete set of adjustable control arms for a TJ? The front lowers need new bushings. The rest should be ok. My jeep is now ready to play with the long arm kit installed. Im game most weekends. Live in botetourt and finally have something that can fit up pots...
04-21-2014 04:16 PM
bajonesy77 The one really bad spot should be a cake walk now, im talking about the "stacks" aka the step part before the overlook. The big hole in front of tree is now filled in with a rock. I will probably go up Thursday or Friday if you want to go steven, im off both days.
