Darnell I read on a post somewhere that I should try kicking the rear lights a couple of times.

That's the dumbest advice I've ever heard.

But it worked. Unbelievable.
jkaufman_95 I would suggest giving it to me. Should solve your problems.

Darnell Somehow my google searches didn't find the post below... I'll have to try some of those suggestions.

2000 TJ - Turn signals won't work :(

Hey I've seen a few similar issues but the symptoms always seem a bit different so I thought I'd post my own problem here. Forgive me if this is long but I just want to give as much info is possible to make things easier.

On a recent trip I found that my blinkers completely stopped working. When I turn them on absolutely nothing happens. My hazards don't work either, but my brake lights do come on. I think it happened after we pulled over half way through and I got out, and my friend who was driving turned on the hazards and they didn't seem to come on at all.

I've checked the 10A fuse and it seems to be intact. I've had a few issues with my lights before, specifically that the hazards don't seem to work generally (i rarely use them but most of the time they didn't work) and that for a while my left turn signal would turn off if I turned the stick all the way down. I would have to manually have to hold it 80% down. When it was in the middle, the right signal would sometimes go on solid and I'd have to correct it a bit to the left. This was obviously just the switch being off center, but when I got it back from my mechanic, who was working on completely unrelated things, it was miraculously fixed (maybe the steering column was just adjusted). Another thing I should mention was that I was coming back from a freezing cold snowboarding trip where the jeep was left out in -22 celcius - i don't know what that is in Farenheit but I don't think it even gets that cold anywhere they still use that system - So maybe my blinker fluid got frozen...

Anyway, I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me exactly where the relays are that I should be checking, and what I need to be looking at when I find them. I'd rather try to replace a 15 dollar relay before I buy a whole new switch. I love this beast but I just had the transmission rebuilt and I don't want to spend another couple hundred bucks right now if there's any way I can avoid it.

Thanks!
By the way, love the forum so far!
