jkjeeper06 You shouldn't need any tools to remove the carpet. Most of it is just tucked under trim pieces and will slide out very easily

jkjeeper06 The carpets come out so easily. Mine only stay in for the winter to keep it a little warmer(I don't think it actually helps. It's just for the mentality). This summer I plan on bed lining my jeep which is what I would suggest for you. Basically you have to sand the paint to scratch it which is easy by hand or with a power sander and then you can do a roll on bedliner or use spraypaint cans. I'm not sure who makes the roll on kind but duplicolor makes it for spray cans. Under the carpet is painted so you can just take the carpet out and leave it at that. It will save you some money. Good luck!

wet carpet

Noticed some (alot) of water in front of the rear seats and some along the edges in the front (driver and passenger side). I have a 2007 4 dr, unlimited x, soft top. In previous years had some drips in the front right above the door handles but fixed those with some weather stripping. I would like to hose it down and look for leaks myself but it is 30 degrees out. I hate going to the dealer as well, especially out of warranty. i have looked at previous posts but if i cant get to the cause i am considering taking the carpet out and replacing with rubber something. Is this easy or hard? How much does it cost? CAn i do it myself? etc..... Just dont want to get in with dealing with mold and rust and that stuff. Thanks in advance.
