I was born in Palacios and spent my younger days from Kingsville to Angleton.

Now in Florida. Haven't had a decent meal since I left. Here they BBQ beef ribs and slow cook pork. I want some brisket and pork ribs. Don't serve pintos either. Hell, Bill Miller's makes better BBQ than any places around here. I'm also having dreams about breakfast tacos.

New to the Jeep world. Bought a 2006 Wrangler X about a month ago. Always wanted a Jeep. Although I'm not to happy with it. Strange problem getting it back on the road. Can you belive the clutch rod is made of plastic.

Hopefully it will get better.

Go Spurs!!
Good to hear from dis-placed Texasns.

I have an old; best friend from one of my past lives lives in fair state. I have not been able to make it out there in the last few years to see him...

Send me an email and I will add you to our JeepTales news letter it's loaded with local stuff that might make you feel like you were home again. I'll run out to Rudy's for you this weekend and suck down a rack of Baby Backs and a few cold ones for you. greg@JeepTales.com

First I picked up some Menudo for breakfast on the way home and it was delicious. Then did a few chores around the house and detailed my Jeep till about 2:00. Later that afternoon I went down town and had Cabrritto (baby goat) for a late lunch. Then walked over to may favorite River Walk bar, and had a few Jamison’s while I people watched and enjoyed a cigar.

After that I went back to the house watered the lawn and did one or two loads of laundry and put the finishing touches on my Jeep then took off the doors. It was still early only about 8:00 pm so I jumped in the shower and went to Hooters for two dozen oysters and a few Black & Tans.

Finished up my birthday evening at a patio bar not to far from the house, with a rusty nail, and one last cigar for the night, I was home and in bed by 11:30. In total I smoked “4” cigars yesterday, don’t normally don’t do that unless I’m a Jeep Jamboree.

I know for most of you; this does not sound all that cool but it worked for me; remember; I’m older now. .
HAPPY Belated B-DAY!!! and by the way, that sounds like a great relaxing day....everything down to the food....dang making me drool......(actually except the laundry part, my wife would of came home to a nice pile )

It's magic.. evil magic. Just ignore it; it won't go away, but it will bother you much less that way.

Made the most of it...JeepTales style!!!

I received about 30 phone calls and just about as many e-mail throughout the day, it was nice to know folks were thinking of me even though they could not be with me on my birthday. I have an aunt in El Paso who is a doctor; she sent me a nice basket of all my favorite goodies to the office on Saturday. It had a few bottles of wine, some fresh fruit, smoked salmon, cheese and lunch meats, some nice chocolates and even a few cigars. So I guess I won’t starve while my wife and daughter are out of town this week.

My aunt and grandmother called me about 6:00 am on Sunday to wish me a Happy Birthday and then asked if I wanted to fly home for the day they would buy me a round trip on Southwest and I could come home for my birthday but I declined their generous offer because I knew there were a few things I had to take care around the house yesterday.

Since I was awake; I went to the Driving Range for about 30 min, then came home took a quick shower and went to church early. On the way back home it came to me; what I should do, since it was my day I decided to order and eat all the things I seldom eat when my wife and daughter are around, not because I can’t order it, but when my wife and I eat out I know some of my favorite goodies offend her, so out of courtesy I usually don’t order this stuff. Hey!

I still have game!

I might be old, fat and bald but I still go into auto flirt after only 21 beers.

My wife told me a few years ago if can catch a 21 year old co-ed I could keep her.
03-11-2006 10:25 AM
Nuthin Well, the first and the last might be bad for your ego... any of the rest: YES!

If you were me...What would you do?

I'm wondering what I should do?

Tomorrow is my birthday! I'll be 43...

My wife and daughter are out of town for spring break doing a trip to New Mexico to get some fresh mountain air. I don't have any other family in the Area...

So tomorrow when I get up, should I?
  • Clean House
  • Detail my filthy Jeep and get ready for Jeep Jamboree
  • Play Golf
  • Go to the Spurs Houston game
  • Sleep in and spend the rest of the day smoking fine cigars
  • Watch movies and just rest
  • Drive to the Beach in South Padre or the Guadalupe River and just pretend I'm 23 not 43
