|4Jeepn||The bars were added for mostly gov't regs, to make the jeep more stable. With out them the axle will flex more, must make sure your brake lines don't get over extended, though this is usually just an issue with lifted jeeps without brake line relocation or longer lines.|

|hannahuffster||If your stock springs are worn I wouldnt remove them yet. with your rear removed with saggy factory springs you will be much more inclined to break u-joints on your d.s. I had to use a cutting torch to get my track bars off. They are a stupid torx bolt and nut and they will be rusted together most likely.|

I removed my Trac Bars and Sway Bar a while back and it definately made an improvement in ride quality. I have the rancho 9000 adjustable shocks up front to make up for no sway bar, just dial em up a bit if needed. I do 70MPH( Michigans speed limit) on the freeway with no Ill effects
Spraying the bolts down with PB Blaster for a day or two should make it easier to remove them.

|4Jeepn||I would leave the say bar on for on road. The trac-bars can be removed however. Front runs from the passenger side axle to the driver side frame. Rear is reversed.|

Removing sway and track bars
Just wondering about how long it will take for me to remove the sway and track bars on my YJ? I haven't installed a lift yet but will be soon and figured I might as well do something until I have the $ for the lift? I know what the sway bar looks like and have no clue what the track bar looks like- a bit new to the jeep world. Any pics would be cool. Thanks in advance. Or should I wait until I have it up on stands?
