Also depends on other factors like driveshaft length, differential/axle type, etc.

With my jeep on jackstands, shocks mounted, my lines did not look like tere was enough slack so I unbolted the brackets and they hang

As far as not using the supplied "Cam Locks" and going with adjustable upper arms and still having vibrations, I would not think that's why it didn't work for me..?

AOR Good Morning!

If you want to run 33s then you can go to the 3" coil combo kit. This kit includes the 1.25" body lift and the JKS motor lift. It will recenter the fan in the shroud and seriously lessen the potential of rear shaft vibes. Click here to see the 3" kit and then click on the combo packages tab.

geiman I had the same question about brake lines; I asked Zone and they said that they were not needed. I have flexed my suspension as far as I could on the trail and haven't had any problems yet, and I'm very careful to have others watch to make sure things won't bind/break since my Jeep is a daily driver. Also, one of the people who said they have vibrations said they have them because they didn't use the provided cam locks. Thats why they are having vibrations, not because the kit didn't work for them.

Other than the steering stabilizer and upgraded shocks, I didn't purchase anything extra. I did get a pair of coil spring compressors from harbor freight for less than $40 that helped install the springs, but they aren't needed. They just made it easier. The only extra parts I bought to supplement the kit were four bolts for the rear upper shock mounts, but thats only because I ended up needing to cut those bolts out because they were seized up.

98tj2010 Well i think I might go with the zone offroad 4" lift. I'm a little worried about the vibration in the rear and not sure why one person would have trouble but another one wouldn't. It seems like the kit was built so you wouldn't need a SYE. I hope I don't run into the same issues. i figured on buying the upgraded shocks and steering stabilizer, what about extended brake lines? Anything else I need to look into buying? I have to wait a lil bit to get started, but want to get a list of parts to get her done so she's not down for more than a few days. The wife says I can't start the Jeep till I finish puttin in insulation and drywall in the garage. Thanks for the help so far everyone!!!

geiman No SYE needed here, but I used the provided cam locks with the transfer case drop and I have no vibes. I'll be doing an SYE soon though just so I can get things tucked back up; I don't like having that shovel sitting so low when I'm off road.

Krigster I have the 4" installed. I'm happy with it but mine needs extras. Brake line extenders for the front, the shift boot doesn't fit anymore, vibrations from hell (I refused to wallow out my upper rear control arm mounts to use those "keys"). I bought rear adjustable upper arms and it still vibs but not as bad, need the SYE. Could use some front upper arms to get the steering back to stock feeling. If I had to do it again, I would buy and install upper arms all the way around, the SYE, and a anti-rock sway before I bought the lift.

s3nt3nc3d Anybody who's installed one ran into issues with needing an SYE?

I emailed Zone a while back and this was the response I got for those interested:

I'm debating between the 3" lift and the 4" lift right now...mainly debating on the likelihood of vibes or my mechanic buddy not knowing how to set the pinion angles properly for the 4" lift since he doesn't exactly specialize in that stuff (he's more of an engine/basis suspension guy).

InfernoGirl Zone is owned/made by BDS, who have a very good reputation. I would feel comfortable buying their stuff... Check the warranty, I know BDS is warrantied for life....

geiman yeah guess I should have said I'm running 33x12.50s. No issues with rubbing yet, I've stuffed them as much as possible and only had slight rubbing on the flare (was flexed as far as I could have). Could probably get away with 35s if you had everything else beefed up.

I don't have a ton up there, but there are a few good ones showing how it flexes and what not. Its performed very well off road, especially in comparison with others in the club with similar lifts. I would highly recommend it for someone who isn't looking to spend a ton of money on a lift but wants one of good quality. If you have any more questions about the lift or installing it, don't hesitate to ask. They have great support as well if you need to contact them; I had a few questions and they were very helpful for me.
pretty much said it all for me except i have the 3" lift and its almost a 4" actual lift. i run 32" tires but would feel fine with 33"

rk maxxus I have installed two Zone lifts on some friends Jeeps. one on a TJ and the other on a JK. The install was easy and the highway manners were good. We did go with the gas shocks which I think help the highway ride. Very good system for the money.

If I wasn't a full time student working 2 full time jobs trying to pay the bills I might have gone with something more pricy, but the Zone kit has definitely surpassed my expectations. Looking at lifts... Zone Offroad???

I bought a 98 Tj a few months back and am looking for a lift kit. It is currently stock except 31" tires and I'd like to move up to 33" tires. This is my daily driver and I want it to be fairly capable offroad. I don't offroad a whole lot so it will be mainly used on road. My last vehicle was a 96 blazer. I lifted it 4" and found out it didn't make for a good daily driver afterwords. It road like a park bench and had almost no suspension travel. Always wanted another Jeep, and being that it has a solid front axle I no that in itself will make it better lifted. I'm looking at the zone offroad kit because its cheap ($529.00) and seems to have everything needed to do a good lift. I no it has a transfer case drop and rear pinion cam locks, is that enough so I don't have a driveshaft vibration? Are there any bad things about this kit? anything else I need to buy when doing the lift? Any help would be greatly appeciated!!!
