|OsageJeep||I would recommend getting a tire carrier as well. I had a 35 on my tailgate and now that I put on the tire carrier, the tailgate still barely opens without the tire on it. I wish the PO wouldve taken some precautions..just a heads up|

|creeperjeep||Yeah the guy left the original spare on with the 3rd brake light.its killin me to have a pretty tuff lookin rig with a sissy tire, hence my dissapointment with B.O. I am now looking at ebay and such. I will work on my profile. Again this is an awesome site with so many knowlegable Jeepers, my new addiction.|

|InfernoGirl||No problem Glad you figured it out. Sorry the right ones are on BO as well... Fill out your Jeep profile and it makes it easier for everyone to see what you've got... As far as a spare goes, do you have no spare at all now? Check ebay, CL etc, for a used wheel and you can put on the tire you want. You can run a 33x10.5" spare if you want to lighten the load. Do you have a tire carrier? If not a 33 is really gonna stress your hinges on the tailgate unless you do some modding.|

|creeperjeep||Yes 15x8. Thank you Inferno girl for leading me the right way, opening my eyes so to speak. They are also on back order. Thanks again for the lesson and accepting a newb for a newb.|

|InfernoGirl||I'm not gonna be able to tell by looking.... But it's probably stamped on the inside of the wheel....|

|creeperjeep||You know what, you are right. I think they are the x8s. x7s are the specs the guy I got it from told me, now that I am learning and finding info for myself I think you are right. I am going to measure myself, no tell tale signs. If you want look at my intro under New to Jeep fever for a pic, maybe you can tell me with your trained eye.|

|InfernoGirl||You have 33x12.5's on a 15x7" wheel? That's really too narrow a wheel for a 12.5" tire.... 15x8 is the narrowest wheel size recommended for a 12.5" tire.|
|01-12-2011 12:47 PM|
|creeperjeep||Thanks for the reply, its a good thought. So I could get the 15x8 now if it was available and it would fit my same tire size? 33x12.5 15? I kinda like the size, dont know if I need any bigger. Checkin around now for my original desires with any luck a dealer from here can help.|

|InfernoGirl||15x7.... Save your money and buy a whole new set of 15x8's so you can go wider when you decide to upgrade your tires....|

American Racing Wheel 2mo. backorder?
So I find myself in predicament. The 04 wrangler I bought has 15x7 American Racing (Bajas)wheels without a matching spare, so I find a site online has a sale price of $94 plus handling, free shipping, great deal. The kicker, out of stock and on backorder for what I am told is going to be 2 months!
So.....??? Do I now throw a different wheel on, I think not......Guess I go looking for a used one or pay out the @s for one.
Just frustrating, thanks for the place to vent. Any dealers have here have one to help me out.
