|Shadeemry||Well thanks for the info! I'm not trusting that dealer ship again, as for the guard, I've seen some pretty expensive mistakes that would been fixed by a rock guard hence why I'm nerviouse about it.|

|RednekYJ||5.13 gears will not fit into these axles. 4.88 is as low as you can go. You have 4.11|

|Ibuildembig||Looks to be a 4.11 to me, you just missed the 4 at the beginning. Is it a 4 cylinder jeep?|
|01-12-2011 06:29 PM|
Ok , i got it identified, jeep says its a 5.12 geared dana 35, Are these good diifrentials? whats the diffrence between a lower gear ratio and a higher one?
the numbers btw are here in the bottom picture...

Cleaned it up a bit, this is the best i could do, This appears to be a metal type tag thats bolted in with dif cover, its on the very left side of cover. This is the correct tag, yes?
its in much higher res, if you click on the image it will be much easier to read.

|Shadeemry||Ok. Ill go do that right now then and post a cleaner pic for confirmation. When it comes to axel's, im not so savy.|
|01-12-2011 02:42 PM|
|nick50471||That is a tough one to read. The numbers you want are the first three(or starting from the bottom of your pic) and the outside row or the one to the right of your pic. I would spray it with degreaser and clean it better.|
