|Jerry Bransford||Something there makes me think someone installed some kind of an aftermarket kludge t-case bracket.|

|Codyak||Tension is not the issue though. Its as if the frame is bent or the skid. The skid needs to be narrowed or frame needs to be widend. The skid obky adjusts front to back not side to side. But ill try. Its only 1/8" off. Hopefully i can fix my tcase libkage. Its all jammed up against my tranny and off angle. Ill snap a pic for u guys to see|

As for the skid....put your jack under the transmission...remove the trans mount nuts. jack the drive-train up. Then you will release all tension from the skid.

Ya ill remove the afyermarket drop to the linkage. And i know of the four bolts. I must have to loosen them more. Problem is the skid need to move and 8th of an inch side to side. Not front to back!!
Just making sure. On my linkage there is about a 2.5 inch drop bracket from the linkage body mount. But my jeep still has a gross 3" body lift. Im assuming the bracket was only for the tcase drop and body lift doesnt need it. Ill be taking the body lift out Wothin the month aswell
Thanks. And ill be sure to adjust the linakge at the top.

Raising the transfer case back up to its original position caused the transfer case linkage to go out of adjustment. There is one bolt on the transfer case linkage that requires a 1/2" wrench that holds it in adjustment. Loosen that bolt and adjust the rod's position that bolt holds so the shifter is back in adjustment.
This assumes the t-case shifter linkage is stock and no one has installed an adapter bracket for it that is sometimes installed with a t-case drop.
The bolt that holds the linkage in adjustment is circled in red below.

Tcase linkage question.
I didnt install the body lift. Originally i bot the jeep with no sye and a tcase drop. I got a sye and cv dshaft. So tcase drop is gone. But my linkage is all jammmed up against my tranny ans wont shift. Is this bexause the linkage is wrong or should i get rid of the linkage drop that comes down from the body mount??.
Also. Skid plate doesnt line up!!
