The sat antenna is in the soundbar IIRC. I replaced the stock radio antenna with a 13" antenna X and haven't noticed any affect on reception.

Anyone else having issues with the 13" off road antenna? I've had nothing but static with mine. And I'm in Houston, so its not like there should be any static.

|RenVarney||First post on here! I've been a bit of a phantom on these forums since I purchased my 03 rubicon in December. I must say, so many helpful hints and threads! After reading this thread I decided to purchase an AntennaX Off-Road (13-inch) Antenna off amazon prime. It arrived yesterday and I installed it this morning. Looks great and reception made no difference than the stock antenna. Mildly tedious install, but worth it! I did manage to over thread a bit which warped the plastic on the bottom of the mount, but nothing broke, so all is good Thanks AntennaX!|

I bought an amplified antenna and was thinking of setting it up inside dash and leaving the shorty antenna x for purely aesthetics because it looks dam good.
Any thought ideas on this
Best way and place to set up amplified deal?

|J Gand||Has anyone compared the reception on the 13 inch and the 24 inch? I have the 13 inch, and have noticed reduced reception. I'm thinking about taking of the 13" and going with the 24".|

Got the Stubby and the 13 incher (I'll keep that in the Jeep for fast swap out if I ever need it) - Stubby seems to work great no complaints.
One thing I did notice is there is a slight back rake on the antenna due to the mount (no fault of the antenna) - anyone know if its possible to rotate the antenna mount forward a few degrees? Have no looked at it - but I am sure there is a way. Yeah its super anal I know - but it would look better if it were 100% vertical.

|Samureye||I got a 21" version of those from quadratec. Sorry I don't have a link. Its short enough that it doesn't hit the trees anymore but taller so I don't worry about the reception. Search it out.|

How does the stock antenna bracket attach to the JK? Is it threaded with a nut on the inside of the body?
How do I get to the wire and nut on the inside of the body to remove the bracket?
