No the battery can have nothing to do with this. It turns the starter strong as hell, and very fast. It would have trouble turning if it were the battery...

But yes that link you sent me is a HUGE help AzTJ. That sounds EXACTLY like the problem. Makes perfect sense. Looks like I'm replacing the fuel pressure regulator. Now it says its on top of the fuel pump, is the fuel pump difficult to get to in this truck? I've only done it on my small 300zx and it's quite easy. Thanks

jjseel IDK, sounds more like a fuel problem. I betcha someone here knows, but the 4th is not the best day to ask, everybody's outside. BTW, Welcome to WF! Give it some time and patience, and someone will come along with the same experience, or you could figure it out and help someone else!

Takes forever to start..

Hey guys, first question in wranglerforums, but have had my Wrangler for 7 years. Its a 2000 Sport 6 cylinder, 50k miles. I searched archives but couldn't find it. Anyway when I start it, it takes forever to start. Starter turns fast and strong, but it just takes forever to actually start - about 4-5 times as long as it should. When dead cold, it only takes about 3 times as long as a regular car. When it is hot and I turn it off, then start it within 5 minutes, it starts on first click. Now the WORST is when the car is still warm (engine off for 30 minutes+), it will take so long to start that it feels like it will never go but always barely starts. I am sure this is killing the starter, no big deal, but I'd like to figure this out. New plugs etc...no other problems besides this starting problem (regular crappy gas mileage etc) Thanks a lot
