Levinoss Yea, afew thousand a year is about average. I would still run the VIN and get a carflax history report on anything used. You can purchase the unlimited reports and run as many as you want.

whiteyj Then again it could really be 4k on a what 2 year old. I bought a 12 year old YJ that had 55,000 on her. Doing the math, it only averaged about 4,500 a year.

I believe he is asking if it could be done because this jeep has such low mileage that someone might have done it them selves. I have read that people can do it fairly easy on most vehicles now. You can buy a tool that rolls them back off ebay if they are the computer ones.

I believe if you purchase the carflax deal they come out and do an inspection and go over it from head to toe for 100$. They check to see if it has been rolled back ect. If your really thinking about this and your not sure if 4k miles is right I would pay the money and get a head to toe inspection.

R Title I believe means Rebuilt correct? Theres Lemon, salvaged, rebuilt, and flooded titles. At least that what carfax said when I was buying my jeep.

Newbee has question

Hi, I have never owned a Jeep. I'm looking at a 2005 Wrangler.
My question is - can the odometer be disconnected easily to keep the mileage low. This vehicle has only 4,000 miles showing. Vehicle seems clean. Thanks in advance. Hope be be a Jeep owner soon.
