geiman If you use Google to search this site, I've posted a few times about my 4" zone kit to answer this exact question for others. In short, I ordered nothing extra except for the steering stabilizer and the upgraded shocks. Other than that, it was a complete kit and I didn't end up with any vibrations at all. And yes it may net more than 4" as stated above; I got more around 5" - 5.5", but then again I have the 4cyl and I'm lacking any extra armor underneath (for now).

s3nt3nc3d The Zone 4" lift uses cams to fix the pinion angle...which is why it rarely requires an SYE when installed properly.

The RE kits don't include those probably...and I've also heard they tend to lift a little higher than what they're actually rated at (ie. The 3.5 might actually lift it 4-5" depending on accessories, bumper, etc). 4" is the mark where even with a tcase drop or mml, you still usually have drivetrain vibes.

anvando basically the question was how some get along fine without the sye and tw drive shaft and others need it. I'm not trying to cheap out and fix anything later. I spoke to a shop that said they would measure the rear drive shaft to see if it's necessary. just seems to me that if you need it then you need it, no getting around it.

GoldenSahara00 I dont understand your last question in the last post^

Basically anything over 3 or 4 inches, you need the rear drive shaft upgrade, sye, TW Drive shaft or the like, and a few other nicks and nacks depending on lift and situation. Basically when your lifted higher, you get more flex, which sets your pinion angles off which are supposed to be corrected by stuff included in the RE and Zone lifts but not always entirely. you just end up putting more tension and wear on the DS and axles etc from how the suspension acts on them. So, if you dont wana break stuff, you upgrade, or drive easy.

anvando the 3.5 and 4.5 rubicon express lifts recommend and require respectively the SYE and custom cv rear drive shaft. I'm still trying to figure out why they are the only ones that require this mod. they're lifts are quality. A LOT of people run them. I'd just like to know why other 4" lifts operate fine without vibes using the trans drop kits.

jtpolla When I ordered my 3'' lift from them I emailed Dave from the customer service and got his advice. I would recommend the steering stabilizer and I think that the transfer case drop comes in the kit already. Go with the Nitro shocks instead of the gas for a better ride.

Lawngnome This is also one of the kits I'm considering along with the Skyjacker so I'm in the same boat. Sorry I don't have any words to help but am also curious what other people have to say.

Any Add-ons to Zone 4" Lift to make it complete??

I am seriously considering purchasing the Zone offroad 4" TJ Suspension lift for my jeep (4" TJ Suspension System). All the reading i have done to date has come up with nothing but positives for this lift albeit there is not much feedback out there due to it being relatively new on the market.

My question is - Is there anything extra i need to purchase in order to make this lift worth while or provide for a complete, ready to go with no worries, lift? I have no prior experience with suspension mods and am nervous about buying a kit that only half does the job. So if anyone could provide me with an indication that this kit is okay to do a 4" lift WITHOUT having to purchase anything else i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
