daggo66 Front and rear gears have to be the same. Unless it's a Rubicon, you have a D30 in the front and a D44 in the rear.

Ring and Pinion sets....questions

Hey guys,

Here's noob questions for you. I'm looking into new gears so that I can run 35" tires without killing my drivetrain. I bought my '07 JKU used so I'm not sure what axles it has. How do I find out what axles are equipped? Will I need two sets of ring and pinions, one for the front and one for the rear? What are the pros and cons of 4.88 vs. 5.13?

Any and all opinions are welcome. Thanks!
