I have this on the boat and will put it in the jeep if the facotry unit ever dies.
Fusion ms ip500. You can put your ipod inside the unit and hook it up to sirius sat radio.

I've never had a problem with the head unit getting wet and I have the cheap Quadratec sony.

|captgentry||When I had my TJ I would buy the cheapest radio I could get, 30bucks most times. Then if you're out in the rain just put the towel you use to wipe the inside of the windshield over the radio.|

|wranglerYJnewb||Marine grade stereo's look ugly and have crappy back lighting... just my opinion. But with that being said they do help. Move to cali where rain is few and far between and you wont have that problem I worry more about sprinklers than rain|

I'd also go marine route, if you have the extra change and wanna do it right the first time. You could also do marine speakers but thats a bit overkill.
Ive been caught quite a few times in the rain with my aftermarket junk radio and its doing fine, i need a new one. So i'll just let the rain takes it way with it then buy a marine one

aftermarket stereo and rain
most jeepers have been caught in rain with the top down...My stock stereo has held up well to the occasional downpour. but not my cd player is acting funny (not due to rain) and I am thinking about an aftermarket unit.
What is your experience with an aftermarket stereo and rain?
