|Hosep||I am ordering my Banks tomorrow! I just want to make sure that it fits with a RC Long Arm kit? Cuz I am ordering that in a week or so.|
|01-26-2011 05:51 PM|
|LAXADAISICAL616||The Banks sounds awesome|
|01-26-2011 04:38 PM|
IMHO - all the catback does is make the Jeep sound better. As far as HP boost or mileage boost I believe it's negligible. (Considering Tires, gears, Lift)
I had the Flowmaster 40 on my '02. Sounded great. Other benefit I found was that it was tough as nails. Everything on the undercarriage took a beating when I lived in Phoenix and played with rocks.
Mine was about $140 installed. Also, don't put tips on...they'll snag or get bent off, trust me.

Yea, thats right-money is all that counts !!
|01-26-2011 02:14 PM|
|Avalon786||And that banks exhaust is SS for under $300. Sounds like a good deal!|
|01-26-2011 01:55 PM|
Sorry, but I'm spoiled and that video makes it sound ricey !!
|01-26-2011 01:53 PM|
|jeepjones||Go with the Banks, all the others I found sound tinny and weak, but the Banks sounds solid and has atitude.|
|01-26-2011 01:45 PM|
|rics1997||Not that interested in updating exhaust because I see no real benefit other then noise but I have to say out of all the videos people have shown so you can hear the exhaust that Banks Monster has to be the best sounding so far. It really sounds good.|
|01-26-2011 01:34 PM|
Anyone know anything about the Banks Monster?
|01-24-2011 03:41 PM|
|LAXADAISICAL616||I didn't have a choice, bought mine used and happened to have it, but I do enjoy it I guess|

Dual exhausts on wranglers is about the worst look out there....WTF up with some people!
Best thing to do is get rid of that big trash can muffler in the back! Anything smaller will do.
Power wise,,, well your cant polish a turd!!!!!!!!!
|01-24-2011 02:34 PM|
|LAXADAISICAL616||I bought my Jeep used from a dealership and the previous owner happened to install it Good find|
|01-24-2011 02:19 PM|
Picked mine up here...Gibson Muffler Superflow Natural, Stainless steel
Sounds really good with no drone..looks better with dual tips.

|LAXADAISICAL616||I haven't had any other exhausts, but my Gibson Dual Tip is pretty loud. Don't think obnoxious though.|

|01-23-2011 07:43 PM|
|Schwheelz||So is the gibson dual tip on the louder side?|
|01-23-2011 06:00 PM|
|JakeRupp||I have a Borla exhaust, and love it because I don't want it obnoxiously loud, but sounds beefier than stock.|
|01-23-2011 05:59 PM|
|OsageJeep||I was thinking replace the catalytic converter and put on a flowmaster but Idk..I knocked a hole in my stock muffler playing offroad so I am interested in finding something|
|01-23-2011 05:40 PM|
|LAXADAISICAL616||I have the Gibson Dual Tip Exhaust and love it. Gets fairly loud some times but I enjoy the rumble and sound overall. Definitely turns heads and feels great to drive|
|01-23-2011 10:54 AM|
Heh Heh, yea if you install new muffler/piping/tips-etc
There's no warranty replacement for the stock muffler !!
|01-23-2011 10:49 AM|
|Avalon786||You guys know if changing the exhaust will void part of the warranty|
|01-21-2011 10:16 PM|
|1sgjeep||I just added this week the Airaid CAI and the Magnaflow cat back set-up and love it, not too loud until you get on it and on the highway it was a good smooth tone.|
|01-19-2011 11:50 AM|
I am thinking of the Gibson Dual exhaust. Look on youtube, there are some videos of all kinds of exhaust. Search google or whatever for the best prices.
|01-19-2011 10:27 AM|
Don't know, this was in Ca. and he had Flowmaster/Delta/ and some cheap ones, being a muffler shop-everything was there-don't know the individual prices !!
I'm biased, because I've used Flowmasters on most of my muscle cars and I was addicted to the sound !!
|01-19-2011 10:07 AM|
|clear lake jeepn||Flowmaster here too....love it...was $125 installed.|

I've got a buddy with a muffler shop, but I wouldn't accept any SUPER price breaks, cause he had two guys working on it-and had to pay them, so the total cost for everything, was $400 bucks
It worked out great, after two years, no leaks/vibrations/heat problems, we used some of the heat shield from the stock muffler, to shield in the new muffler position !!
You can put the NEW much smaller muffler, in the stock position, but
I'll tell ya, you can't get any DUAL EXHAUST sound, unless you have at least 6 ft of "DUAL" pipes, for harmonic/pulse /sound reverberations-sounds like BS, but it ain't !!!
