|DaveC||Hi Justin...I ordered the OEM color from paintscratch.com which provides OEM paint in spray cans. My Jeep uses a 2 part system. I started with a coat of primer followed by an adhesion promoter. Then a color coat and finally a clear coat. My problem was that the rubber was cracked and dried out and discolored in areas. I even used some filler on the bad areas, but once the rubber is damaged, paint just isn't going to work.|

As far as painting....How did you paint these? If you used a 2 part system or acrylic. Just wandering or was it spay cans?

Fender Flares for Sahara Models..what gives?
Several on this forum have discovered as I have that all the adds on the 'bay or Jeep accessory sites says .."for all YJs ", but when you call or look at the details, they say they don't fit the Sahara Model! I have seen posts that said folks mounted extended flares that were not suppose to fit but did, so I am really confused about just what the fitment problem is?
A couple of questions if you know.
1) besides being painted what is different between the Sahara flares and other models?
2) Has anyone found a particular Brand (extended or OEM) that fit well?
I tried repaintng mine, but they have dried out , discolored and cracked and so the new paint doesn't look new for long so I need to replace them. Thanks
