Hahaha, it would be a hilarious short skit, an airtight Jeep that exploded if you slammed the doors.
It's a shame it got away, I was looking forward to sporting a new hardtop. Oh well, maybe it's for the best, I don't have much room to store it in the summer, and I already have two soft tops.

I got the BS from another Jeep forum. That's why I used the "read" in the sentence.
Will a new hard top fit my 97 TJ? - JeepForum.com

OH PLEASE!. There is no way you are going to do anything to the windows. Where did you get that BS from.

you should cut your losses and just let me take it off your hands...

|Arch Stanton||That's the way the Craigslist deals go. I read that you'll blow the windows out when you close the door with no vents on the hard top on TJ's prior to 2003. Maybe it was for the best.|

Well, it would have fit, but after we negotiated a price, he didn't take his posting down, and somebody else offered full price.
<sigh> Who wouldn't like a little more money in their pocket, right?

|tailhole||I got older top with vents on a 05. and my doors are still hard to shut|

|InfernoGirl||It'll fit unless it's off an LJ.... No vents in the top, so closing your doors might be a little harder.|

A 2006 hardtop will fit my TJ, right? Just bought one, stupidly without checking. But I presume its the same as a 97', that would also fit my TJ. Just want to make sure!
