WOW stock driver seat design is stupid
Ok well I plan on spraying bedliner on the inside of my tub this so im , in a way, pre-prepping the cabin. Making I can get all bolts loose and such. Then I come to the drivers seat...what a stupid design... the 2 bolts on the underside and rusted to sheit and the threads are gone. And it looks like they are connected to the seat bracket. Sooooo anybody have any tricks that work? If not then ill just leave it in there and spray under it lol.

Leave it and just spray, its not worth the headache

Well, if the bolts wont come out, you can always cut them out, then drill them out of the seat bracket, then use any bolt you want!

I'm doing 2 coats of herculiner soon to my noisy bare tub....

...which begs the question...if you leave the broken rusted seat bolts in how do you plan on re-installing the seats?

I must have missed something here.
I'd at least put the muscle into the old tap and die w/ electric's old fashioned, ugly, but effective.

I drilled mine out and then drilled out the holes and used some grade 5 bolts

Get some small water balloons. Fill them with CLR and put them on the bolts. Try to get the mouth of the balloon around the nuts. Let is sit for a couple days like the. The CLR will loosen the rust. Then take a die and run it up the bolt as far as possible to clean the exposed threads.

Thanks for tips everyone but I just sprayed under it. It wasn't worth the struggle if I'm just leaving the factory seats in anyway.
