Advice on buying a Wrangler

Hi all

Son is searching for a Wrangler, late 90s model. Just wondered if you all have some advice on any potential problems or common problems these cars have before he throws money at one. We live on the east coast of Australia so if there are any Aussies out there, is it easy to get parts for them?

Thanks guys.:)

Only problem I see with them is the ones you all have seem down there seem to have something wrong with them. The steering wheel is on the wrong side of the jeep. :D :D :D

Nothing really with a jeep that should cause you not to buy one. 91-99 models with the 4.0L engine have problems with cracking exhaust manifolds. Nothing that a few hours can't cure to replace it though. Other than that they have been really solid for a lot of us over the years.

alot of 'em end up with a rear main seal leak at least once in it's life. not a big problem, but it'll happen.
