wheel/tire package

I have an idea of what i want to do for a lift, so now I need to figure out what to get for tires and wheels. The biggest I can go with the tire is 31''. Who makes a good year round. every day driving (highway) tire, for a reasonable price. I have the stock wrangler's on there now, and what size wheel should I go with? Thanks.

If you are looking for a good year-round, mostly street tire, I have had really good luck with the 2 sets of BFG All-Terrains that I ran. I got 50K miles out of each set.

You won't go wrong with the Goodyear MT/R either. Good off and on road tire.

On road BFG ATs cannot be beat, the wear like iron and have pretty good traction off road.
Off road I really like my MTR's, one of the best all around off road tires I have had.

I agree. I've been real happy with my 31s on road, off road and in some snow last winter.

BFG' AT will do well.. also barrowed aa buddies jeep with some Bridgestone dueler AT's for a while, nice road ride, good on wet roads, I think they will cost a bit more than the bfg though, even used them off road and I have to say very nice for an AT tire, to the point where guys with TSL's and MTR's where wondering how I made it up stuff..LOL

I just put a set of used 33x12.5 BFG - ATs on my Rubicon to try them out. They are pretty wore out, but on Sunday we got pounded by snow (in NJ 18" - 20") and even wore out they are probably the best tires I've ever used in the snow. I had them out about 2 weeks ago rock crawling and they did really good there also. I'm moving up to 35s so I was going to buy BFG - MTs (which I know have better sidewalls) but the ATs are much better on the road. I will be buying 35 x 12.5 BFG -ATs in the near future. BFG - ATs or BFG - MTs you can't go wrong!!

A good online place to shop for tires is:

http://www.tirepackage.com

I have bought 2 sets of tires from them, and have been very happy with their service.
