New JKU Soft top + All mounting and windows for sale/trade

I purchased the soft top from the Dealer and installed it. Had it on for one day.

Realized I like the hard top better.

Paid $1500 + tax, I have the receipt.

Looking for $700ish or will trade for parts for my 2011 Rubicon Unlimited.

As of now I am guessing Local pickup only as I have no idea how to ship this or how much it will even cost.

Thanks,
- John

Hey just to let you know and check your invoice because I could be wrong but I thought all 2011 rubicon unlimited are suposed to come with both tops. If so the dealer owes you some money. Check it out

Its the 2011 with the new cable tension and not drip rail right? I have a 2011 within soft top but may be interested in just having a spare for the heck of it

Johnnyp 07-30-2011 11:03 PM

Yes its the cable style.

As far as I know Dual tops is an option that is like $3k more.

If you get just a hard top, you pay something like $2.2k and they keep your soft top.

If you get dual tops you are keeping your soft top and adding a hard top.

I will look into this Rubicon dual top thing but as far as I know its not supposed to come together.

Soft top comes standard. 3 piece hard top is a $700 option that deletes getting a soft top. Dual top option comes with both and costs around $1600. Your price is really good and I hope I can find one for that next spring when I have the extra money. For the price these tops sell for new that dual top option is quite a bargain when ordering new.

Yeah totally... Considering I paid $1500+ tax for JUST the soft top.

Will it fit an 2008 JKU if you include surrounds? I have the older style with the pain in the ass plastic edges.

This is a very good question and I am not 100% sure on the answer. But I am including all the surrounds.

Maybe someone else here with more knowledge could chime in.

Thanks,
John

Yes

You can mount a newer cable top on an older JK as long as the top matches the door surrounds.
You may have to remove the winshield tie down above your mirror. The older JK has it 2" to the right and the 2010 and newer JKs have it 2" to the left. The bracket will press up against the top bulkhead. I can post you a picture if you need it.

I just mounted a 07 soft top on my 11 JKU. The $1000 I got for my hardtop swap and a new softtop on an 07 frame was a great deal.

As far as shipping, try Greyhound. They will move larger boxes on their buses.

Good luck with your sale...

07 JK frame on 11 JK

The upper plastic header is from the 07 JK. The lower with the cosmos blue in the background, is on my 11 JK. Yours would be reversed.
