advice on selling my 2005 Jeep Wrangler

Hello fellow jeep owners!

I need a little advice please. I have recently tried selling my 2005 Jeep Wrangler (Rocky Mtn Edition). I looked up the Blue Book value and posted it on Ebay for $4,500 which seemed like the right price according to Kelly BB. I am not getting any serious buyers. Does anyone know what I may be doing wrong? It is in great condition, new breaks, new tires, 77k miles and well maintained. No damages, only one owner (me). I just had a new baby and need something bigger. I welcome all advice. Thank you in advance. ~ Stacey

Do you mean $14.500? If you are meaning the 4500 you wrote in your post you are giving it away. Most probally think it is a scam at 4500.

Oh my goodness! I meant to type 14,500. Thank you for pointing that out and so I dont understand why at 14k I am not getting more serious buyers?

Have you tried your local Craigslist? More people use Craigslist than Ebay.

When selling a vic here are a few tips.

ALWAYS list...
Year
Model
milage
price
photos.

Without those 5 items most don't even bother looking or calling. Everyone wants all info upfront, think of it as if you were searching for a vehicle, if someone says "low miles" but doesnt list what the milage is or doesnt post a price...are you going to bother with it?

PHOTOS....key here...many photos are GREAT!!! everyone wants a "pretty" vehicle that they can see. Clean the inside and out well before taking photos. Take photos of both driver/pass side shots. And angled from the front and rear of the vic. Also take photos of the odometer and interior. When taking photos of the interior make sure it is well lit and take your time to stand back to get a larger shot of the inside...this will also make it appear a bit larger in size.
A good camera helps but most cameras today are well enough to take desent pic's. Same with the outside of the vic...make sure it is well lit when shooting and (Shadows) can hurt. High noon on a sunny day is best to do.

Use key points in the sale add. "very clean" "only XXXX miles" "One owner".
Sadly...."female owned" is not always a key sales note. Most people are ignorant and don't think girls can keep a vehicle maitained with oil changes and the like. Again...they are ignorant as it is not true. :(

Hope this helps Ma'am. Congrats on your new baby. :punk: And I hope you get back to a jeep in the future.

thank you so much and yes I sure did do all those things. It is posted on Craigs as well as Ebay Motors - with even the full carfax report via the VIN number info, full set of pictures, etc. I cannot imagine why I am having such a hard time selling it.... but I really do thank you for taking the time to try and help me out.
