Are you picky on what axle you want?

Sorry new to this whole jeep thing so I am not to sure. My whole thing is I want a drum to drum axle that will bolt right in. So I think I understand that they put Dana35/44 both under this year jeep. I do no real offroad running with the jeep the most it sees off road is launching my jet ski from shore. I am just looking for quick fix and something I can. Do my self like a direct swap of the whole axle.

You have to make sure the gear ratio matches. Most stock D35 came with 3:07
Finding a D44 in may have 3:73 or 4:10 I think. An axle off a 2.5 should have 4:10. You could have the front regeared to match but its not a DIY job and will cost $600-$700 bucks.
