93 Bellhousing Swap?
I am a newbie here, but I need some expert advice. I just bought a 93 YJ with a spun bearing. Rebuilt the 4.0 , replaced the clutuch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, pilot bearing, and installed a new slave cylinder. While I was bleeding the clutch, I heard a loud pop, all the fluid ran out of the bellhousing and the pedal wentn limp. After reading here about the perils of the internal slave, I picked up another, dopped the tranny, and replaced it. This one worked much better, it lasted 65 miles before it let go. The first one had a blown o-ring, this one is acting the same. So, thanks to eBay, I have a external slave bellhousing, fork, and a new 94 tranny from mans -tran on the way. My queustion is: Do I have to change the clutch? The brand new clutch and pressure plate have 65 miles on them. Has anyone compared the clutches of the 93 with the 94?

the clutch, and pressure plate are the same, but if you ever need to replace the clutch again i recommend buying a clutch kit for a 94+ as it comes with the proper throw out bearing. from hat i read from your post you may need to get a new throw out bearing if you didnt get one with the stuff from ebay.
i did the same thing to my 93 a few years ago without any knowledge of this conversion.
just throw it all back together and run it.
Thanks Ab...93, I kinda figured it was the same, but wanted some reassurance from a voice of experience. That internal slave is pretty useless in my humble opinion. I was planning on a new throwout and new slave, no I'm torn between buying Master/Slave combo or the custom plumbing the old master to a new slave? The master looks like it was just replaced... Oh, the decisions... any opinions?
