Sway Bar Question/Radio
My first post so bare w/ me here. I have a 2006 TJ. So after some very light off roading, my sway bar disconnected from the ball socket. It's back in now. Does that mean it's fixed, or is this bound to happen again? I don't offroad all that much. If I do need to replace, do I replace both the link, and the bar, or just one? No clue!

Might as well kill 2 birds here......5.25" in the dash speakers? Make a big difference than stock? Hard to install? Thanks y'all! Much appreciated. Cheers.

Your antiswaybar link will come apart again now that it did so the first time. It is far better and less expensive to replace both links with quick disconnects like from JKS which are not really much more $$$ than buying stock links from the dealer. Those won't pull apart like the factory links are very well known to do.

5.25" front speakers are a nice upgrade, they do sound better than the stock 4x6 oval speakers. You only need to buy (or make) adapters to convert the opening to hold the 5.25" speakers. Polk speakers are a good replacement brand as they have a high enough Sensitivity rating to sound good with the stock low power amplifier.

The link is broken. Replace it with stock or upgrade to JKS disconnectables.

Wow! Ask a question and get a sensible answer?! Crazy. Thanks people!! Much appreciated. Anyone know how much this repair might run me if I get the parts separately? I don't have the tools to do myself. Or cheaper to just buy tools?

It feels like I am replacing a link every 6 months. Switch to disconnects and no more problems?

most disconnects and solid links are far stronger than the stock ball socket, and when you combine that with a lift, most people don't actually damage the links - they bend the sway bar mount on the axle. hence, you disconnect the front sway bar when off-roading.
