Question regarding AC and rear drivers turn signal
I have what possibly be the dumbest question but I know nothing about a cars AC. I just got a 95 wrangler and it appears and was told that the AC doesn't work. I checked under the hood and don't see a compressor but when I look at the temperature selection it had a setting for Hot and Cool. My question is what are the possibilities that the AC is there and just missing the compressor and whomever had it just installed a dummy pully to make up for it instead of replacing it. And if that is a possibility what should I look for?

My other question is recently after driving from Cali to Texas my rear drivers side turn signal stopped working but only if my head lights are on. I replaced the bulb and the flasher fuse hoping it would help but of course it didn't. Has this happen to anyone else, if it has what did you do to fix it? As far as I know and from the looks of it this beautiful rig hasn't seen any trail time and from what I was told it was only really driven in the winter.

Thank you for any help you can provide with either one of these issues.

If you have A/C there will be the dealer added unit under the dash with vents. On the left side of the unit will be two knobs, one for turning on the A/C and the other for the fan speed. The other sliders you are talking about are just for the defrost and vent. I have not had any electrical problems. Sorry.

On the dash control panel the only selection on the left is for fan speed. Which I can assume would mean a big no on the possibility of a installed AC. I put a link to a picture of what it looks like to hopefully help out. I wasn't sure how to explain what mine looked like. Thanks for the input.

Okay Jeeps have only one AC setting. Here is how you turn it on or off:

To turn on-

-Pull Jeep over to road side. If already parked, disregard.
-Begin removing top.
-Place top aside
-Drive Jeep and enjoy the fresh air.

Otherwise, no you don't have a Jeep equipped with factory AC..

The hot and cool setting controls the blend door for the heat. Putting it on hot sends all the air through the heater core, putting it on cool makes all the air bypass the heater core, halfway sends half of the air through the heater core, and so on. Basically cool is whatever the air temp is outside.

Oh, and xpress, you have the same a/c as me;)

You do not have A/C installed.

As for your turn signal, it sounds like a bad ground at the taillight. Remove it, clean the ground connection and reinstall.

Thanks for all the help. I figured I didn't (not like it really matters with the top and doors off) that was just more of a nice to know question. Tyewilly I'll try that when I get home tonight. Just a little more clarification on my end the ground needing to be cleaned, would that affect the function of the actual taillight because other than the turn signal being in op with the headlights on it works fine any other time.
