1st drive 4x4
Wow waht a night i just had. Took the 1980 CJ5 out to Shubarth Trail off of Rampart Range Road in Colorado, with my wife. This is the first time i have ever drivven 4wheelin before. Waht a rush. The problem started because we left so late today and ended up coming back in the dark with nothing but my crappy headlights to light the way, and that was only about 10ft in front of me. Here are the few pics i got, nothing spectacular but ill tell the story along the way
Started off clear and great everything lookin good
Hit a few puddles along the trail taht added a little mud to the tires
Thought this was as far tilted as i was going to get on this trail.... man was i wrong.
Start of one hell of a ride

Looking up a steep hill trying to figure a way down. This pic is of the path we took the other side had a huge gorge along the side that i wasnt going to mess with
This is the gorge doesnt look as bad from camera but it was up to my waste when i stood in it.
another of the path we took down

Now when i say down what really happened was when we got to this part and took pictures hopped in the jeep and started... Well the jeep died, couldnt start it. Wasnt getting gas i guess??? so the entire hill down i am trying to start it so it lossens up the steering so i can at least try and make a path down, we get to one spot where the side of the jeep is on the ground and the tires are in 2 gashes running along. At this point i thought i would need new unders:D but then the jeep starts and we draive along on the passenger side a bit then it rightens itself and we make it..... but then we find out thats where the trail ended so we had to make it back up it in the dark it was a crazy night to say the least. Great time tho lol and for my first run WOW

No, they go further. Our buddy Woody proves it regularly. :D

Try not to go alone, but if you do make sure you have a shovel straps and recovery gear and tools to get you out of most situations.

SWEEEET pictures!!! beautiful country out your way

Yea it is gorgeous out here i wanted to take more pics but was too busy with the trail lol. saw 2 deer and like 12 rabbits as well lol

Yea sadly i dont know anyone to go 4wheelin with so i gotta go alone, but i watched this awesome show on tv today that showed me how to make a highlift work as a winch, so that was extremely sweet for getting ya unstuck when your by yourself:punk:
