Soft top advice

Hi all,

I've got a '97 TJ which is currently hard top but I'm planning to convert.

What's the best soft top in terms of ease and speed of putting up and down? Quick and and easy is the goal as it's my daily driver and I live in the UAE where dust is a problem so I'll need to put the top up most times I park.

Cheers
Ben

I have a bestop super top and love it. Fold or down and leave it on tied up of course.

I'm toying with the idea of replacing my old top with this one "Rampage Products Frameless Trail Top with Tinted Windows" from quadratic. If anyone has any info on it it might help the both of us. Here is the link.. 109535 - Rampage Products Frameless Trail Top with Tinted Windows for 97-06 Jeep® Wrangler TJ - Quadratec

I like my Rampage top, but it doesn't come with hardware. You would still need door surrounds, tailgate bar, and windshield channel.

You can also find the Rampage top WWWAAAYYYY cheaper from other places. Amazon for one has them way cheaper and free shipping.

My first tj had factory frame work and it was easy. My current jeep has a bestop supertop and I hate it. Only benefit it comes with hardware.

I tired the Rampage frameless top and did not like it. I did not like the look on my jeep. They seem to look better on an unlimited. I ended up spending more money and going if the Best top Sunrider. It has a couple of draw backs compared to the factory top I had. Mainly the whipping when in sunrider mode and the fact that it is a thiner top. It does look good though. Good luck.

Do you have the older Supertop? I had the old Supertop and it was pretty bad, but the new Supertop NX uses all factory style hardware plus some.

Thinking a little outside box----Half-Top?

It's not a nx, just a supertop.

Yep, the regular super top sucked. But the new NX line of tops come with factory style hardware now.

I myself threw a way the old super top for the Rampage top and love it.
