No Heat..
Hello all!
I just got my 92 Wrangler back after having some body work(rust repair) done, including replacing the windshield frame. Now, the heat doesn't work. the air is blowing...
anyone have an idea what to check? It seems like something was just knocked off track. thanks in advance

Maybe your thermostat went? Or check if you have engine coolant

While reading some reviews on 98-03 wranglers, i also looked at recall info, and it said that there were two grounds behind the guage cluster, one was for the guage lights, and the other was for the heater/ air stuff. THought i would tell you to check your grounds. Matt

If your engine is getting up to temp it would rule out the thermostat idea. Maybe it is some kind of issue with the heater core. They usually will leak if they go bad, but maybe there is some kind of blockage in your lines. When the engine is warmed up and the thermostat has opened, check to see that both coolant lines to and from the heater core have pressure. They should be pretty firm. If that doesn't answer any questions you should look at the cables from the heater control to whatever it is they hook to. I have no idea how many there are or where they all go, but you should be able to trace them and see if they are connected and if they function.

Start with the easy stuff 1st.
Check your control cables. You should be able to see one end on the heater box in front of the passenger seat. Watch for movement while you move the lever from cold to hot.
Mine has popped off more than once.

I have a 95 and my lever pops off all the time too, it's on the passengerside under the dash.
