Trektop NX (JK 4door) Rear Window removal?

I have the Trektop NX (really like it) and I have a question about the rear window removal. My guess is that I need to remove the rear window retainer everytime I want to remove the rear window. The challange is that it's a real bear to get that sucker loose from the Jeep. And .. I'm cautious that over time I will wear out and or break the rear window retainer clips prying them from the death-grip they put on the Jeep.
Am I doing it wrong ??

Thanks

You're doing it right. Its just really tight. I already broke one of the plastic clips that hold the rubber trim.

It's odd that they didn't incorporate a quick connect / (disconnect) clip such as the ones used for the header.
I wonder if a tool could be McGyver'd to make easier / safer removal of the rear retainer?

Just slide it out left or right..no need to remove tailgate retainer bar, I dont. The top towards roof area has a slide and same woth bottom...putting back on u just have to make sure you slide top and bottom in somewhat simultaneously

I thought about that .. it seemed like it would be pretty difficult ... I'll give it a try though for sure .. Thanks

I think it is pretty easy. Just open the tailgate and on each end pull back then twist up from outside and the retainer comes right off. Then do it on the other side and its off.
