are you from the area? i live down in bremerton, and the only trails ive heard of here are over in Tahuya Forest. I'll be moving to Everett soon, and looking for trails up there also

I live in Bremerton, too... is the Tahuya Forest a good place to take a Jeep off road? Have you been there? I'd like to go off-roading, but as my Jeep is my mode of transportation, I'm not looking for anything extreme that has the potential to cause damage....

Tahuya is pretty tame, there isn't much elevation change anywhere around NAS whidbey or Bummertown. Most of the good wheeling spots are going to be overnight trips. From oak harbor, walker valley orv park is the closest spot. Pm me anytime y'all are feeling adventurous. Retired chief with a rubi...

Tahuya is probably one of the easier trails, i have seen lots of stock jeeps out that way. Walker Valley is a good spot i went today for the first time and it was awesome. Another is Evans Creek i have never been there but i heard it is a pretty good ORV park. BTW I got out of the Navy this past November.

I couldn't help by notice this thread. My son is stationed at NAS Whidbey Island. No trails that I recall, but get used to it raining about 8 months out of the year. Good luck there, it is a beautiful place. A few inches of snow and everything pretty much gets shut down.

I like walker valley, and it's convenient for folks in Everett or whidbey. Evans creek is 4.0 but will get shut down by snow before too much longer. Then it's time to hunker down and wait for spring. Best wheeling spots in the state are all above 3k ft elevation

Sounds good, are you willing to lead? Just let me know when and where so I can find a baby sitter in advance and finish up school projects.

SallyAnn 09-20-2011 09:26 PM

I'm in. I'll try and rally some more jeeps up.

nwapache 09-21-2011 01:41 AM

Yeah, great, let's do it. I've got a club drive this weekend, so how does the following weekend work for people?
