Airsoft tech question
I have a crossman mp5 that I am having some issues with. its mostly with getting the eletric motor to line up with the gears. I am not the only one I know with this issue. anyone have a similar airsoft gun and mabye even a correction.

Dude, I just took my buddies crossman back to the store and got a refund.

My M4 jammed up on me, and since I camo'd it, I couldn't return it. So, I tore it down to find the problem. The anti-reversal latch jammed up the gearbox, and messed a whole nest of stuff up. Basically the gear box was locked up.

His Crossman started doing basically the same thing. Instead of tearing it down, all I did was UNBOLT the motor, and move it up and down while holding the trigger. The motor would spin free by itself, slip on the gears if it was too high up, and would NEVER turn the gearbox. Basically, the same thing my M4 was doing. Gearbox was siezed. We just returned the POS, and hes saving for a TM or something good.

The crossman is trash dude, just get your $ back. BTW, I am in the marking for a nice M4/AR style airsoft, with a collapsable stock. Something nice, like a TM or something as well :)

once you paintball you wont use airsoft anymore, except to shoot your roommate in the house, but watchout for expensive items ie. the new tv in the front room, oops, it was only a 350$ accident. good thing it was mine...

honestly paintball is much more of a rush, sure its more of an adult sport cause of the cost but save your money get a paintball gun, it hurts more anyhow

dude I got news for you I am a paintball player. six years acts, and one smart parts series.. I have an 04 fly angel(for sale $400). a strange impulse. two standard impluses, a shocker, a mini mag and an 94 autococker. the issue is this urban enviroments make paintballs hard to use. so you play with smaller projectiles you can stay below the radar, say if you were playing in a abandoned subway or something. so yes paintball is more of a rush but airsoft has its place to... by the way as a airsmith, you should be saving up for a nice paintball gun:punk:

Dang, and I thought my .45 cost too much!

penguin_in_a_cj 09-06-2007 02:51 PM

oh no man a paintball setup can get more expensive than a hand gun real fast. My shocker was 750 add to that the custom reg and drop. the secondary regulator so to be sure it doesn't over pressurize, barrel hopper and tank I probally have at least 2000 in it easy. its expensive but tourny ball is.

If you took the price of my airsoft rifle, and my buddies airsoft rifle, and added them together, you could have bought a RIA .45 and some ammo. Thats pretty expensive, considering these were CHEAP airsoft guns, and neither worked more then 4 days, one not working more than 45 seconds.

paintball and airsoft both provide different type of rush. imho, neither is bette rthan the other. both are similar but at the same time completely different
