'98 Jeep TJ for parts (FL)

I've got a '98 TJ that is complete that I would like to sell complete as a parts jeep. I do not have a title for this jeep. It is a 4 cyl, 5 speed, non a/c jeep. The motor had a blown head gasket and the top end is dissasembled. The jeep has 1.5" teraflex coil spacers and sits on 33's (2 tires good, 2 tires shot). I picked up this jeep to build 2.5 ton axled truck but I have since changed plans. The jeep is located in Jacksonville, FL and I'm asking $1000.

Not worth it to ship across the country, sorry.

If you only wanted around 500 for it I might could talk the wife into it, but that's about all I could come up with. Plus, your only 4 hours away.

have any pics?
and how hard would it be to get a title for it??

DownandDirty 09-11-2007 11:22 AM

I'll try to get some pics tonight. As far as the title goes, I have no idea how hard it would be to get one. I got it just to build a military truck that would never see the street so a title never mattered.

Give me a call at the shop. I might be interested, My dad lives on St Simons Island, in GA, so transport should not be a problem. Got pics???

To Jacksonville ? From Los Angeles ? Um......no.

Gas would have to be $ 0.50 a gallon and U-Haul would have to rent weekends for free....

mudaddy 09-13-2007 07:56 PM

i want the coil spacers and the rock sliders

lost 09-13-2007 08:09 PM

i'll buy the half doors if you want to seperate them.

DownandDirty 09-13-2007 10:04 PM

If I don't sell it as a whole, I'll consider parting it out. Thanks for the interest.

Have you ever jacked it up or looked under it at bearings or ball joints? If I put 2 tires and a tow bar on it, you think it would roll safely to Tampa? Is there any rust on the body? Is the wiring in tact. Looks like a neat new body for my mud truck. I'll measure the frame width on my TJ and Ford tomorrow.

Well, have at it guys, I was trying to talk the wife into letting me have it, but she decided I've spent enough on the jeep this month already. It is probably worth a lot more parted out though. I hit her with that angle to, no dice. Great pics.

I looked up underneath of the jeep when I loaded it on my trailer and didn't notice anything unusual. The steering felt tight while manuevering around my yard. You should be fine towing it with a tow bar. There is zero rust and the wiring is still 100% in tact. I turned the key on and the dash lit up like it's supposed to. The intake is still wired and all of the fuel lines were never disconnected.
