Hey St Louis. WAKE UP!!!

Want to see if anybody could help? When my dad owned his H2 we would always take it to the Lynch Hummer dealer in chesterfield to the off road course behind the building. I would like to see since that building has been shut down to no more models of HUMMERS being sold that if we can somehow get ahold of that course they had set up. Lots of steep muddy hills. Right next to river so stays very muddy. Lots of flexing areas. Anybody want to maybe go check it out???

Bump. Anyone?

I'm sure we'd have to get ahold of the owners. One of my customers at work rented it out for a day for a customer appreciation event. I'll see if they have a contact.

Ok. I went by their yesterday and it was flooded back there. You could still see the trail but it was overgrown. there is one spot where it's a flex area.

BlackedOutYJ 09-19-2011 09:38 PM

1 spot is that all. Why don't you come down here to washita?

TBrownSTL 09-19-2011 11:10 PM

Yea. It sucks. But I haven't been able to afford the gas down there. What's it like?

It's fun. But a loooong rough ride. I broke in 1 trip there, a motor mount, my tranny mount, smashed a fender off a tree, ripped one side of my skid plate off and broke a marker light. But hey that's why I bought it!

TBrownSTL 09-22-2011 08:40 PM

Wow. Don't know if I'll do it then.

Lol. Awww come on now you got a jeep not a hummer.

K_in_MO 09-23-2011 11:04 AM

Thanks for checking, tbrown.

I would love to find something around St. Louis. I've been asking my other 4WD friends, and haven't come up with anything yet.

TBrownSTL 09-23-2011 06:25 PM

Yea. Not a problem. I'm going to go to Busch wildlife and drive the do not enter paths. See where they go. I'll let you know.

I'll be at the zoo tomorrow anywhere up in that area worth throwing the plates on the jeep and wheeling. I like to try braking my D35 tomorrow!

I haven't found any yet. Also. Found the back way into the lynch offroad course. When I get my jeep back I will check it out. Need someone to go with me though.

Did anyone ever get clearance for Lynch's course?

K_in_MO 09-26-2011 05:43 PM

I've got a call into one of my customers that used to rent it out directly from the Lynch owners. I'll update when I know more.

I also need to know how dangerous the course is. My little TJ is stock and I don't want to kill it :). Weak, I know. Please don't flame me!

K, here's the deal.

I'm friends with a guy that is best friends with Lynch's son. He says the building was foreclosed on by the bank and the remnants of Adventure Shooting Sports is in a different location.

So... if the land is owned by the bank, I guess it's free reign.

Who wants to go wheeling?

K_in_MO 09-26-2011 07:47 PM

Yeah, my call was just returned, by a friend of Jim Lynch's. He said that Jim is not maintaining the property anymore. That's the extent of what I know.

jkaufman_95 09-26-2011 07:51 PM

Just because it's owned by the bank DOES NOT mean it's free reign.

Like the bank gives a shit. They'll probably like it because they won't have no grass or field to mow. Lol

Hey all,

I think we might have some other alternatives, too, within 40 minutes of STL. I'll report back with the info when I get it.

Kristen

TBrownSTL 09-27-2011 11:09 PM

Let us know please. Need a course close to go on.

TBrownSTL 10-01-2011 06:50 PM

Anything yet?

BlackedOutYJ 10-01-2011 06:59 PM

Planning a trip here for the end of the mont we have to have 10 jeeps to go at least and it's $25 a vehicle. Here's the link it Sayersbrook near Potosi MO.

TBrownSTL 10-02-2011 01:00 AM

Sayersbrook is awesome. That's where we took the hummer. I might be in.
