Duratrac Got Screwed

Here we go. Just removed my spare last week and luckily I carry tire repair gear. I removed the screw and plugged the hole. Notice how very close it is to the sidewall. Zoiks! The last photo is of the last two items causing tire plugs. http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/j...3/70b5ad3a.jpghttp://i272.photobucket.com/albums/j...3/caa23252.jpghttp://i272.photobucket.com/albums/j...3/884238e0.jpg

that sucks.. I would never ever trust that plug btw, it's on a way too flexible part of the tire.. good that you got yourself out of bind though

Right with you buddy. I've had 2 KM2's get worked by some sort of metal. One was a bolt and another was a steel rod through the sidewall. Bought 2 new tires, plugged the others -now I have 2 spares. Worked out somewhat OK I guess.

I think that fat gooey plug will be OK. If not I'll eat crow and post pics of the blow out. But you're right, it's on the edge of safe plugging.
