Go get a Tread Lightly membership. Probably the best (tax deductible) $60 you could spend. Guaranteed 1% below invoice (Chrysler affiliate discount) and no haggling... our if there is haggling it's about the price of a trade or aftermarket accessories.

Go to the "2012 Wrangler Information Thread" sticky. The invoice price is listed for each option on the first page... just subtract 1% from it for your Affiliate price.

panthermark 09-12-2011 08:07 PM

Where do you work? Check to see if your company is an affiliate....you may not even need to get a TL membership for 1% below invoice. (But you could get one anyway).

custom875 09-12-2011 08:11 PM

Yup. 1% under invoice with tread lightly. A little over 2k off of a 39k sticker price if I remember correctly.

DirtyBoy 09-12-2011 08:20 PM

I'm confused 1-2% under factor invoice or MSRP sticker price?

Meatco1 09-12-2011 08:26 PM

2% below invoice, without joining "Tread Lightly".

Respects,

Richard

Do no more than 2% below invoice with TL and DO NOT let them charge you a dock fee. If they say it's a mandatory fee, make them take that amount off of the 2% below total and tell them they are free to add the dock fee.

Tigereye2012 09-12-2011 09:49 PM

1% below invoice with tread lightly discount. A couple of extra bells and whistles thrown in because it was the last day of the month. They said they needed to sell 4 more units that day.

Hey Tiger what color is the red in your pic? Looks great!

2012 Rubicon. JKU (4 door).

$3255 under MSRP. $33,700 for $36,995 msrp.
Base $33,570
Max Tow $320
5 Speed $1125
4.10 $50
Temperature Control $155 (worth it)
Freedom Top $735
Remote Start $200 (don't care about that)
Destination $800.

DaveDennis (Dayton, OH)

He had a 6 speed 4 door Rubi, stickered for around $35,000, he'd take $3300 off (so under 32K), I wanted the auto. Kevin (bald guy).

Did not finance, no trade. (if that matters).

Dealer title/doc fees about $250 (normal for Ohio).

That is really nice....what color is it? The rear qtr panel looks dark green in one of the pics, but it might be grass in the reflection.
Also....did you pay extra for heated seats? I thoght they came with leather (or is that custom leather)?

damon.l 09-13-2011 07:23 AM

dark green? i see black. i think you need a new monitor. :p

bo9roadking 09-13-2011 07:24 AM

Taking everything into account, I purchased my 2012 JKU Rubicon with almost all of the available options at slightly better than 2% below invoice. I received 1% below invoice using Tread Lightly, an additional $500 off using Jeep's military incentive program which is more than 1% off the purchase price, and I received a one-time opportunity to purchase mopar accessories through the dealership's parts department using employee pricing.

I'm very happy with my purchase and the buying experience at my dealership.

Duffyc04 09-13-2011 12:01 PM

MSRP: $33,810
Paid: $31,442

Had the supplier discount to apply (1% below invoice). TT&L were extra. I think there was also a $299 dealer fee.

JC JK 09-13-2011 03:52 PM

EP $33,133 :D cant touch this:dance:

Nadurra 09-14-2011 09:50 AM

It's all about the options...it's hard to tell from these prices being quoted what people got. As you know leather and nav can add several thousand to the price. When I was Rubicon shopping the prices were all over the board---depending upon options.

What a sweet deal!!!! I'm gonna use these numbers! Thanks

MagTen 09-14-2011 08:55 PM

The MSRP on my 2012 Rubicon Unlimited was $42,495 and I paid 1% under invoice using the TL program. The extended price was in the low $39K range, or 7.7% off of the MSRP.

Soooooo you got every option imaginable?

offcamber 09-15-2011 01:24 AM

Sticker on mine was $41,747. Every option (including front seat airbags, painted top, flares, leather 730n nav, etc). The only option I don't have is dual tops. I gave $36,700 with a Chrysler F&F discount.

MagTen 09-15-2011 05:03 AM

Yes, I think my Rubicon has all options. I didn't want leather or dual tops ($2,500), but it had body color top and fenders and everything else was right.

I've had it a month and really like the black on black. I think the painted fenders will really show brush rash, but it will look good if I replace them with stock black fenders.
