Thin sport bar covers for Unlimited

Does anyone make thinner sport bar covers (97-02 style) for 04-06 Unlimiteds? The 03+ Jeeps including Unlimiteds have thicker covers due to them having foam pads underneath.

My Unlimited came with no covers or foam. The paint on the rear bars isn't finished and the new soft top hardware is scratching what paint is left every time it goes up or down. I don't want to replace the foam though, it seems pretty expensive.

So I guess what I'm looking for are black covers in the older style that will both fit an Unlimited and also be cut for sound pods instead of a sound bar.

Early TJ's have pads, just thinner pads. And afaik, no one makes covers for an LJ's that wouldn't accommodate their thicker pads. You might try spraying them with bedliner. It's tougher than paint, and should hold up better. Also you can put some pipe insulation on the frame for your top, so that it isn't rubbing on the roll bars....

I like the pipe insulation idea. I like the look of the bars in body color and if I can get the top parts that make contact insulated then I could perhaps have the paint finished. Maybe even paint the struts between the windshield and center sport bar. Now I just have to figure out what to do with the ugly sound pod wires. I wonder if they can go into the bars.

Oh, how would you spray bedliner onto the bars without getting the stuff everywhere? I mean, especially if you're spraying at the bottom of the bar.

Okay it looks like the corners of the 2 and 2.5 bow are hitting the bars. I can't wrap insulation around it since they're right under the stay pad straps.

Any suggestions on what I could try to put there? I'm thinking some kind of foam padding with adhesive on one side but I'm not sure what to look for.
