Goodyear Authority AT's?

i saw these tires the other day and i was wondering if anyone has them and if they're any good?

My limited understanding of them and with no personal experience is that they are exclusive to Walmart and therefore less than many other ATs in the same range. That's about all I know. That and I would NEVER buy tires from Walmart or have them touch my Jeep. :thumb:

they look damn good though, I see a lot of similarities to duratracs. The duratracs have about the best reviews of tires I've seen, the walmart tires seem to be hit or miss when reading reviews.

I think that is a Goodyear tire specifically branded for Walmart ie "Authority". Canadian Tire have a somewhat similar tire branded "Territory" and is made by Goodyear. You may find this Thread interesting and helpful re those two tires. Take a look at Post #16. http://www.wranglerforum.com/f5/good...-tj-65963.html
I have the Goodyear "Territory" and find them great so far.

I run them on my 03 Ram 2500 and love them, they handle great and do good in the snow and the limited mud in the horse field.

I havent ran them on a jeep, so it all depends on what your looking for. They are an agressive AT

Down here all the Game Wardens in Miss. and Lou. use the MT's, from Good Year not Wally World.

Seems kinda silly that they would make two very similar tires. The Duratrac looks to be the better tire, but that Authority AT is pretty darn aggressive. I think you can get the Duratrac for about the same price, so I would personally skip over the Authority.

WalMart tires have served me well based on two sets on my Jeep and two sets on my Van.
As to touching my Jeep, anybody that operates a hoist (what did they use for jack points?) or changes tires (how tight are those lug nuts?) is a risk one has to take unfortunately. When they are busy and working by the job, watch out, no matter where you take your vehicle. I use my torque wrench to recheck tightness and sometimes the lug nuts aren't tight enough and sometimes they are over tightened to say 120 ft.lbs. WalMart here often has a second person check the tightness, which is better than most places, and they use/state 100 ft.lbs.

thanks! i was just wondering if they were any good. I do have duratrac's and they are great! but i think for my next set of tires i might go with AT's (undecided on the brand yet). Before I got the duratrac i was trying to get ahold of some KM2's but everyone i mean everyone was out of stock so i went with duratrac.
