CB antenna for AM/FM radio

Want a small project for the jeep, so ive decided on putting in a cb. Nothing serious, just for use on those convoy trips and on the trails.

Ive done a bit of research, and i know the dual phase wont actually work on the jeep, but i want two antennas

I wanna run the cb with one antenna, and have the second for looks. Thinking about doing them one off each tail light, but would rather run them up by the mirrors. I read a thread on here that suggested removing the am/fm radio antenna, and replacing it with the dummy cb antenna

Will a cb antenna pick up the signal for my am/fm radio, and if so, what equipment do i need to make it happen? Where can i buy it?

If it matters for what im goin for, Im gunna be using the Cobra 75 wx st so i can keep the radio under my seat, and probably some firestik antennas, because people on here seem to like em

It will, maybe not as well, but it should be workable.
Don't need any extra equipment, just change the plug on the end of the cable.

any idea how much worse my reception will be? I live in the mountains, so i lose my radio signal often anyway, but dont want it to be much worse

No idea. Really can't be predicted till it's tried, too many variables.
It actually might improve, the Firesticks use a spiral of wire that is physically longer than you stock AM/FM antenna. It depends on the radio's antenna coupling circuits.

You could get a PL-259 to RCA adapter to test it first.

Ill look into it. Deffiently wanna give this a try. Might get the cb working first, and than play with my other antenna
