What do you think of the Coleman Hooligan? It didn't cost $150-300, but it's been pretty darn good to me and held up just fine to Irene..

I think it's a good option for car camping no doubt. The more expensive tents are such because of their weight and packability. Spending $300-400+ on a tent isn't in everyone's cards and if you're strictly doing car camping, the Coleman et al is a great option. But if you plan to also do any backpacking or travel in remote areas where weight and space are an issue, obviously the more expensive tents offer those traits.

:whistling: You can getta "hatch tent", usually for under $300 bucks and they are PRIMO-

Mine has gone thru two 4x4s and is 5 years old !!

Understood. I didn't realize you were going for backbacking/hiking tents. The Hooligan is definitely for places where you are driving/jeeping to, not hiking.
