TJ Lights

4 Attachment(s)
I've owned the TJ for a couple of weeks now, undercoated, OME lift and now lights!

Here's a few pics of the 100w KC fogs and 130w KC driving lights.

Oh and the tail light swap was the easiest 5 min mod ever, the internal reflector is a huge improvement!

GrassKicker 09-25-2011 09:09 PM

What kind of light is that? Just new lens cover or whole light? Looks good.:thumb:

The kit is a new lens, gasket and reflector that fits on the existing tail light housing.

Pretty sure this is a stupid question but going to ask anyways F it haha. But what's the point of these light just the look or more light when your in revers?

InvertChaos 09-25-2011 10:00 PM

Could you take a picture from the driver's seat with all of the lights on at night? I want to see what kind of glare you get off the hood.

I initially bought these for aesthetic reason, I didn't realize the kit came with the internal reflector or that the existing lights didn't have an internal reflector at all !

The taillights / brake lights seem quite a brighter, I didn't check the reverse lights.

These are driving light beams, there is sooo much light so far out in front of you, if there is glare, I didn't notice !

Are those the same as these? My brother gave me a set of these so I have no idea what they are.

No, my KC's are not that deep front to back.

However those are driving light beams (clear smooth glass). I have a pair of Dick Cepek lights on my YJ that are very similar to that and they are awesome lights.

Those are KC Daylighters, which are off road pencil beam lights. Most likely 100w. They look just like mine that I've had mine for nearly twenty years. I have the stone guards on mine.

I have a pair of these on my jeep located where yours are. KC website says they are driving lights. As bright as they are I would think they were only for off road use. Is it legal to drive on streets with them on?

Probably depends from state to state.

Hmmm, just checked out the web site. Seems they are available in long range, driving, fog, and flood. I guess the OP will need to find a part number to determine which one they have. When I bought mine, long range was the only option. How times change...

For offroad use? You cannot even have them mounted on your jeep?

jasonduke5 09-28-2011 07:47 AM

You can have them mounted on you jeep but when on the road they MUST have the cover over them and or pointed backwards or straight down.

mannyssj13 09-28-2011 08:45 AM

I live in Pa and have long range lights with no cover hope I don't get pulled over! Then again I live in Philadelphia they don't care about much there as for traffic violations.
