1995 Wrangler Top/Tops

My 95 had a hardtop in it's previous life. Now it has a soft top. There is, above the windshield, a series of screw holes. What was there and should there be something there now. It seems a lot of air comes through that area as I drive. What is the best place to find Jeep Wrangler stuff? I don't have enough knowledge to buy on line and know I'm getting the right item for my Jeep? Is a bikini top a good item to have/ It looks like a fun way enjoy a Jeep.

Bikini top is a MUST HAVE.....and the screw holes were for fastening the front of the hard top to the top of the windshield frame....I use Quadratec.com for most things, but there are other places, especially for used parts....
i'd fill those screw holes with screws...yep
and WELCOME to the forum!

you still have the wiring for the hardtop? should be a connecter and a tube at the drivers side rear corner of the jeep.

private message me if you do, i'll buy it off you.

Yes... I agree, the Bikini top is a must have. Make sure when you order it, that it comes with the windshield channel or you need to order that at the same time as you order the bikini top. I didnt know that when I ordered my bikini top and had to wait an additional week for the channel to come. As far as the screw holes....once you put the bikini top on, air wont come thru them. I wouldnt just put screws in the empty holes. But thats just me. Good luck and welcome :wavey::wavey:

The soft top uses a header channel, so there is no need for a new one

I like JC Whitney. They've got a good costumer service chat feature that I especially like. Just enter your make, model, year of your jeep and they say it's garenteed to fit or your money back. I've ordered a few things through them and so far no need to return anything. When ordering anything online always be sure to read all the reviews of the item.

Yeah, i've ordered some stuff from Whitney....Quadratec also has the chat feature and WF members get a discount on most parts and discounted or free shipping.....just PM them for a quote and they'll hook you up.....

Thanks for all the help. I'll see about a bikini top for Christmas.

I agree on the bikini top, especially living here in (mostly) sunny Miami Beach, but another option is a Spiderweb Shade mesh top. It blocks out a good amount of sunlight but unlike a traditional bikini it's see through so it retains most the open-air feeling you want from driving topless. Another nice bonus is that it doesn't use the header so I don't need to remove the Shade to raise the soft top.

I bought your bikini suggestion the Spiderweb Shade Mesh top. I looked it up on-line and it seemed perfect for me, easy set up, possible to leave on the Jeep and I still get to see the sky. Thank you for your help. I got it at All Things Jeep.
