Question about lift with 18" wheel

I have a coworker who just bought a 2005 jeep with 18'' wheels off a 2012 sahara. The jeep does not have a lift. He was thinking of putting about a 3" lift. He wanted to know if anyone had any pics of a jeep with 18" lift and radial tires with a 3" lift.
Thanks

That's pretty gangster.

I would sell them and get 15" wheels because tires for an 18" wheel are going to cost a fortune.

I didn't realize that the JK wheels fit TJs. For some reason i was thinking they are a different bolt pattern.

Anyhow, not my thing per se, but there you are, though 4" of lift I am guessing.

that would be because they are a different bolt pattern. how ever, there is a way around this with the use of 5x5 to 5x4.5 addapters

Yep. Just extra cost, but if it's already on there then no worries.

Only way I would have 18" or bigger is if they were spinning!

The size of the rim is irrelevant as to if will fit with or without a lift. It's the size and overall diameter of the tire. What size tire are on them?

Here's my '03 with a 4 inch lift and 18" wheels and 33" tires.

Thanks that is the pic we were looking for. Not sure he likes the look of the lift with stock rims and radial tires. JK wheels will fit an adapter.

My TJ came with 18" wheels when I bought it. It definitely would NOT have been my first choice in wheel size if I were shopping for wheels because like was stated earlier, tires cost more for that wheel size. But I like the look of them on my Jeep, so I'kll keep 'em!

Nope I'm right there with you. I might go 16s eventually but that will only be if my 15s are too small for the vanco brakes I want.
