How much did you pay for gas today?

Hello Jeepers,

it would be interesting to know on a regular base the price of gas in your city!

I live in Switzerland and today regular gas is CHF 1.65/liter (USD 1.85/liter or USD 6.99/gallon):surrender:

A theft!!

jeepsr4grls 09-29-2011 03:39 AM

Didn't buy any today but it is 3.34 per gallon in some areas and 3.29 per gallon in others.

Little store in Micro is $3.29 and I just passed another in Fremont

hellhound94 09-29-2011 05:39 AM

Filled up this morning in Westlake, Ohio (outside of Cleveland) for $3.22/gallon.

Wirenuting 09-29-2011 05:59 AM

I never look at the price I just fill the tank. It's like buying milk, you have to buy it anyway so why bother looking.

But its about $3.40-ish north of Chicago.

InvertChaos 09-29-2011 06:29 AM

$3.39 but while I was driving last week I saw it as low as $3.23

TBrownSTL 09-29-2011 07:02 AM

St Louis Missouri. Filled up two days ago at $2.89 a gallon.

Mfuryous 09-29-2011 08:43 AM

It's 3.18 here in Tulsa Oklahoma.

AmericaOverland 09-29-2011 11:09 AM

$3.19, but didn't go to my Phillips 66 today, which would have been cheaper.

Houston, TX

Same here. The only thing that matters is whether the fill up will cost me over $100 or not. Almost all of our pumps here kick off at the $100 mark, so to fill up you either have to start and run the pump twice or make a point to go in a day or two earlier to keep the cost under $100.

Saw that this morning. Another few cents and the days of wondering if it will be over $100 to fill up will be over.

katossi 09-29-2011 12:21 PM

I can't believe what I'm reading. 3.55$ is the cheapest I can find around Philly

YAHAHA 09-29-2011 12:24 PM

$3.79 west of the Windy City.

93-242 09-29-2011 12:29 PM

it hit 3.14 in central ohio. with a discount got 10 gallons for less than 30 bucks :punk:

Kota7x 09-29-2011 12:41 PM

Averages $3.79-$3.89 in the city. In some of the desert towns that we go to its up to $4.29-$4.50.

I go inside and give them my credit card and just ask them to turn the pump on. Filling my diesel with prices of $3.95 / gallon cost just under $120...

00tj2 09-29-2011 01:23 PM

Funny, I'm going to fill up now. Yonkers, ny. Pretty sure it won't bu under 3.89 a gal unless there was a serious price drop since yesterday. They are all thieves, those oil companies. Our taxes pay for military presence so they can safely get oil and what dome get for it, a big bend over. Poor guys at the stations are only making pennies on the dollar so I can't blame them.

Mfuryous 09-29-2011 01:25 PM

I remember being able to drive around all weekend on the change in my pocket. Now i spend over 500 dollars a month in gas. I'm just saying.... If I robbed and took charge of a mcdonalds, chicken nuggets would be cheap to my buddies.

Chris M 09-29-2011 01:26 PM

I paid $3.09 the day before yesterday.

sevenservices 09-29-2011 01:39 PM

$3.39 in Mid-MI today 9-29-2011

schnutzy 09-29-2011 01:50 PM

filled up over the weekend at $3.15, but that was down south on 81 in virginia. filled up again yesterday at $3.37 in northern va.

Hammerwalk 09-29-2011 01:51 PM

$2.97 at the Walmart in Saginaw Texas (using a Walmart gift card) otherwise its 3.07/gallon around the ft worth metroplex.

First time it cost me an even $50 to fill the tank in a loooong time.

XJ Knight 09-29-2011 02:01 PM

3.719/g West Seneca NY

RedJKNick 09-29-2011 02:02 PM

$3.23 Hackensack, NJ

mgriff3029 09-29-2011 02:10 PM

4.06 nor cal-eureka. for the cheap stuff

00tj2 09-29-2011 03:31 PM

Loved driving through eureka.

So I'm back from the pump. 3.859 per gallon, 14.102 gallons =54.42

Nottusyeroc 09-29-2011 05:14 PM

Can't do that around here unless you want to stand in line for 10 minutes to save the 30 seconds it takes to reset the pump and go again. I just think the whole thing is a pain in the ass. Just let me buy my gas and go on without hoops to jump through.....

OlYellerTJ 09-29-2011 06:34 PM

I paid $3.63 US/gallon today. Which was down from $3.65 Sunday, and $3.69 the week before.

Were I willing to drive 10 miles out of my way, I know where to get gas at $3.59 but it is just not economical to save a few pennies/gallon. YMMV, and invariably will...

It's funny how we (I) by-otch about our gas prices/taxes in the USofA. Then I see your post about what you have to pay, mattverick (and those of others who live outside the US) and I really just can't complain.
