It's a YJ which is what they used in the 1st jurasic park movie

themoneypit 10-04-2011 10:40 PM

looks like a yj just judging by the front fenders and the style of the step

themoneypit 10-04-2011 10:41 PM

damn, beat me by seconds

YJ and I would be shocked if Chrysler offered a model specific to the move. Could happen I suppose because they are making the COD editions.

Huh..... Tomb Raider or Sahara editions ring a bell? Both TJ Rubicon movie models!!!!! :-)

GoldenSahara00 10-04-2011 10:56 PM

They had tomb raider, cod, and who all remembers what else. J park would probably help pay for the badging and stuff as advertisement. or something. idk.

anyways yes that is a yj, you lot are really getting dense.... the whole dang jeep looks like a yj.

Yup, the Sahara movie Rubicon, not to be confused with the Sahara model line

None of these models have any longevity. It's just for fun and a few bucks when the opportunity arises. Ya know McDonalds offers different toys for each movie too. :whistling:

IMDb - Sahara (2005)

Yeah I was just clarifying so some noob didnt read it and think all saharas were for the movie :banghead:

there were like 1000 LJ rubicons made and badges for the sahara movie in like 05 or 06, and had the special package. they call it the rubi-sahara because they had all the rubicon packaging but had the sahara movie badging.

Anyone know where I can get a Jurassic Park Spare Tire Cover?

IceColdBeer 06-12-2013 03:41 PM

That was a good looking Jeep. I wonder how many they smashed just to get the lighting right during filming.

I love Jeep special editions, especially the blatant toy Call of Duty special editions.

But if Jeep ever did a Jurassic park edition... I'd have to slap a "Ask me how I'm a gigantic nerd" sign on each one I see.
