Hey, anybody got problems with their gauges? Mine will be working fine and then all of a sudden they just fall, so I hit the dash and they come back up. Anybody else got these problems or got a solution?

This is how to fix it...

First take off the gauges Just take off the bolts and pull it straight out. next clean the conections with a q tip and alcohol (you will see gray streaks on the contacts try to get most of it off. then tweak the pins slightly (and i mean slightly) what you are trying to do is make a tighter contact when you put it back. when you twist the pins you should twist them maybe 1/8 turn probably less. use needle nose pliers. then put plenty of dialectric grease on both conections and put it back together.. now is the time to fix any bulbs that are out on your gauges.. It is very easy I can take off my gauges in about 3 minutes.. If you have never taken the gauges off the only tricky part is the strip that runs along the top of your dash. you pull that straight off then there is 3 screws to take the dash off where the gauges are. I hope my ramblings are clear enough if not ask more questions..

by the way mine were doing the same thing and they have been fine since i did this..

I thought about it more tweak or turn pins 1/16 of a turn.. not 1/8

If you can see the tweak with your eyeballs you tweaked too much :D
The connectors are called 'self docking' so if you feel ANY resistance going in STOP, remove and check you are not bending the pins over. New plugs are available from the dealer, $11 or $17 for two, PIA splicing though.
Then put some dielectric grease on the female side. This will keep oxidation to a minimum. Come to think of it I use dielectric grease on every connector I ever take apart.
